Did you know that God appointed holidays - Holy Days, in His Word, set times for us to celebrate, set times for us to fast and pray? He calls them feasts and there is much we can learn from the past, for the present and for the days to come in studying about and celebrating His appointed times!

When you read the books of Leviticus and Deuteronomy, you find a list of festivals that God commanded the Israelites to observe. God placed tremendous importance on His commanded festivals. Three times a year all males were required to appear before the Lord in Jerusalem to observe the feasts. But when we look at the traditional calendar they are nowhere to be found!

What was God's purpose in in instituting these festivals? Were they just excuses to celebrate the harvest-sort of an early version of Thanksgiving? Or was there a deeper meaning and understanding to be found in them?

Just what is Rosh Hoshana? What does Yom Kippur mean? Does Sukkoth have any meaning for Christians today? How about Passover, First Fruits, and Pentecost?

Would you like to learn about the customs and significance of the Feasts of the Lord? Schedule a presentation for your church or small group and Rabbi Joe Bell will explain both the biblical instructions for each festival and the traditional customs surrounding them. Not only can you expand your appreciation of the instructions of the Bible, but you will be surprised at the prophetic meaning tied to each festival.
